Skandinav Living was created from a love of calm, intentional spaces and a belief that good design should be accessible to everyone — not just those with big budgets or endless free time.

It is rooted in Lija’s early years spent at her Latvian grandparents’ cottages — places where simplicity, nature, and handmade details shaped her design philosophy.

With over 20 years of experience in fundraising, event planning, and marketing, plus continued design education, Lija brings strong project management skills and a creative, resourceful approach to every project. She has hands-on experience renovating and caring for her own 60‑year‑old family cottage, which she also rents out seasonally, giving her a deep understanding of what homeowners and rental hosts truly need.
